Hey friends,
The end of the year and the beginning of the New year are always my favorite time to blog and reflect on how the year went in home as well as personally. This last year was pretty incredible. I started a business that has been quite busy these past few months and I love it! Another blog post is coming on our Home Goals for the 2017 year and how we did but I have a few things on there that finally, finally are where I want them and it feels great! Turning 40 this year has really left me feeling empowered and comfortable in my own skin.
Looking into 2018, I would love to get more focused, more intentional and yet simplify life. I am sure one of those words will pop up as a contender for my Word of the Year in 2018. Lately, I have been trying to read things that are not just fiction or facebook because let’s be real, facebook is like comic books for adults. Again, working on filling my mind and heart with good things. I recently have been reading these wonderful books and highly recommend them.

Last January I blogged about my word of the year and said this,
Turning 40 later this year has me doing a lot of reflecting on life.
My character and if I am truly reflecting Christ and His love in my life. Spending my time well. Speaking words of life. Being an encouragement. Having grace for others and myself. Creating beauty. Serving others.
I want a life well lived.
Which has led me to want simple, intentional and grace filled living. And I just realized that all of the books that I am currently reading all are on the way I am wanting to live. This next year will be fine tuning what I want and taking it from wanting it to living it out. We leave for vacation in one week and I hope during that time while we are driving many miles across the country that I can dive more into these books, into God’s word and prayer. Listening and quieting my soul so I can hear what this next year’s word will be.
I will be back after my vacation, sharing my word of the year and some thoughts, goals and ideas for 2018!
