Back in the Saddle, again

In May of this past year I posted about the end of blogging after taking a break from blogging the past fall for a few months.   I still believe that stopping blogging was what needed to happen for me, to give me a sense of focus, to stop the Perfection Infection and also for me to really consider why I was blogging and if I really did enjoy it.

I did for the most part stop blogging but then I was sharing with some women how I was doing Once a Month Cooking and they wanted all my recipe links, the shopping list, etc. so I posted two blog posts with links to the meals I made so they were there whenever people needed them.  Last week I posted pics from our Downton Abbey Premier Party which was a total blast!  It was nice to post them on the blog so that everyone who attended could see pics from the night and even share with friends and family.   That same week I used my blog to post about my Word for the Year to again share with friends and family, maybe inspire someone to choose their own word for this year and also just as a place to pour out my heart.

After stepping away for about 7 months,  I can honestly say that I really do miss blogging, I miss the months that I did not share our home and our life happenings, I miss not being able to read our life online.   After not blogging much this past year, I have realized that I still have a desire to inspire women to bloom  in their hearts and homes, just like my tagline.  I love sharing when I find a recipe my family loves and I think other families with picky kids might enjoy, a great way to organize those pesky tupperware container lids, a book I have read that really affected me or even what the Lord has been doing in my life.   This is where I share my heart, my home, my life.

In a few short months my youngest will start kindergarten and I will be home all day without any children for the first time in a very long time.  I have been seeking what I am to do with myself this fall, praying, chatting with my man and the answer keeps coming back to blogging.   What that means exactly, how that will look, I don’t really know.   So I am back, AGAIN and glad for the time I took to step away and figure out just how much I miss this thing called blogging.   We’ll be working on some changes around here in the next few months as well that I am excited about.  So, here I am, again!
