Welcome friends. It’s been a hot second since we left off on week 5 of the ORC in May! Yes, May. I have no excuse for not updating. So I thought today I’d share some photos from my phone of the spaces. When we last left off on week 5 we had a lot to accomplish.
Scrape Popcorn off the ceiling
Install Shiplap and paint it
Stain Beams
Stain Mantel & Install
Install Beams on ceiling
Demo the Fireplace and pull it out further into the room
Create a Fireplace Surround
Tile or Stone the fireplace
Tear out carpet and tile in front of fireplace
Paint the walls
Install new carpet and tile
Spray Paint Eyeball Light Surrounds
Install a light fixture in the family room
Figure out where the tv is going
Paint lower cabinets
Install backsplash
Remove upper cabinets
Install floating shelves in kitchen
Install shelves on sides of fireplace
Make it all cute – Style & Accessorize
We managed to finish everything except for making and styling the shelves on the sides of the fireplace and I still am on the hunt for a large piece of art on the long wall in the living room.
And so today, without further ado, here it is! I’ve included some before and afters on here for you as well. Now these are in no way professional photos, they were taken with my cell phone.
