April in Minnesota. One day it’s 70 degrees, the next you have a snow day. Which was great for me, as I decided to take off the fireplace surround and tile. And also paint the bottom cabinets. All in a days work my friends.

The Surround came off all in once piece very easily. I was a little worried about the tile but that wasn’t to bad either.

I love a good demo! After all that, the rest was up to the handsome hubs. So while I was at a concert with my daughter this weekend, he built a wall.

We have so much left to do and not a lot of time to do it. Hopefully we I mean he can bust out a lot of the fireplace work Thursday and Friday this week. We are still debating if we do shiplap on the fireplace instead of stone for the most part or half stone half shiplap. I have a poll on instastories and my fb page if you want to vote!
Here is the look we are going for but with shiplap. House of Jade did a beautiful job and I love the shelving! Definitely doing that!

I also really love this look, also from House of Jade! Beautiful stone and shiplap. Love the fireplace not being above the mantel.

So we will see what happens this weekend. Hopefully the hubby can get ‘er done!
