It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of the spaces in our home with you so today I thought I’d share our powder room. This was the last time I shared photos of the space, in the fall of 2011 when I did a wild black and white zebra stencil.
We made some minor changes, like changing out the door and painting it black (best decision ever) and spray painting the light fixture gold.
The zebra stencil lasted a few years and then I decided to paint over it.
Here’s the powder room today. I repainted the walls Quietude by Sherwin Williams. I struggled photographing this room!
And with the lights on.
The powder room has come a long way since we moved in here almost five years ago. Besides adding the lattice strip and chair rail for trim, the only major thing we’ve changed out is the paint colors. The vanity I painted black using a $7 can of Rustoleum paint and switching out the hardware. The light fixture I spray painted gold and the mirror is even the same. Eventually I’d love to add some bold floral wallpaper in here and get a new faucet.
