September is here and that means it’s time to decorate for fall! I like to keep my decor fairly simple for the seasons and I love to decorate with items that are multi-purpose and I can use all over my home. This Rustic Pumpkin Stand fits that criteria and I love that you can customize this to your own personal style and taste. I was asked by Sarah from The Yellow Cape Cod to use the Rustic Pumpkin Stand in my dining room, which I love my dining room and we eat in there everyday so I was really excited to get an early start on decorating for fall in there!
After tossing more than a few ideas around, I finally settled on a coat of white paint over the cedar, sanded down and a little worn looking, then I wrapped some jute twine around the handle to match the candle sticks on my chandelier.
I decided to add some picture frame hooks to the back so it can easily be hung on the wall or stand alone on the buffet or table. I love that I can change out what I put in here, you could use mason jars, battery operated candles, books or magazines, jars filled with candy, turn it into a beverage station or even just stuff it with succulents, flowers, leaves, pumpkins, gourds, acorns, pinecones and branches, seriously the possibilities are endless.
This was pretty easy to make and didn’t take long at all and again you can customize this to fit your decor very easily.
Now, for the best part, you can make this to at a Home Depot near you in September at a DIH workshop!
The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels.

I had never thought of hanging this on the wall, but it looks perfect. Since I’m a little twine obsessed, I’m also loving your stem!!!
