Back in January I decided it was time to update the bathroom in our basement level. Our girls use this bathroom and I try to avoid going down there because, well they are messy teenagers.
I gave myself the goal to do it all for less than $100. We came in real close but I think the total ended up being $120. Which is still pretty awesome!
Here’s a little reminder of where the bathroom was back in January. The last time I did anything in their bathroom was 2014 so it was long overdue!

Now there is nothing bad about this before of their bathroom. We have running water, a working toilet and a bathtub. After living here for eight years, this was the only oak left in our home. My daughter reminded me all the time how their vanity looked old and “gross.”
Choosing the shower curtain as my jumping off point was pretty easy. The girls wanted a pretty neutral shower curtain. They both agreed on this one which was pretty much a miracle.

Painting the vanity was definitely on my list and I was able to use some paint I already had at home to save some money. The color is a nice muted olive green that looks a little darker in the photo. But this picture below shows it more true to color.

We have slowly been replacing all the faucets in our bathrooms throughout the house so this seemed like the next logical place for a new faucet. I found this particular faucet on Amazon and loved the matte black finish. It had great reviews and the price was right, only $39.99!

The bathroom is so close to being finished, the shelves are styled for now with things I found around our home. But soon I’ll finish those up and then grab some more photos of the bathroom. Including the bath hooks we made for super cheap!
