Is anyone else feeling really behind on life right now thanks to the gorgeous weather?   Trips to the park, zoo, picnics, hiking, bike riding, making giant ice cream cones with chalk on the sidewalk with neighborhood kids, having friends over to grill out, first campfire of the year, buying sandals for 4 children and digging out summer clothes, that is what I did the past few days and I LOVED all of it!

Ok, this post is getting away from me, all I meant to say is, the weather is great and I hope you are enjoying it too and that is why I have not blogged lately, well and the fact that my keyboard has been freaking out on me.  So far so good today, let’s hope it stays this way!

One of my blog readers, Judy, recently sent me some pictures of her hallway that she stenciled after being inspired by my master bedroom wall.  I LOVE the stencil she chose, the Connection Allover Stencil,  it was actually in my cart at one point when I was having a hard time deciding from all the great choices at Cutting Edge Stencils.  Judy did a fabulous job and I love the color choices, they work well with the rest of her home which is beautiful as well.

I recently stenciled a wall in our Master Bedroom with Shipibo Allover Stencil.   If you have never stenciled a wall before, it’s fairly easy and only takes a few hours.  We managed to knock out the wall in our bedroom in about 3 hours.  My handsome hubby helped me by placing the stencil on the wall and my job was to just roll the paint on with the dense foam roller that came with the stencil.   The stencil comes with a level which is very helpful when lining it up on the wall.   They offer some great instructional videos for you to watch before you start stenciling, which you can find here.

In case you haven’t been here in a while, here is the after:

I love the dramatic wall in my bedroom, it took my bedroom from boring to amazing!  I love that you can customize the stencil to look the way you want it, do an entire wall, an entire room, a border, whatever you like.  Then choose the colors you want and you have a custom wallpaper look in your home for a great price and the best part, you did it yourself!  You don’t need to be an expert to stencil, trust me!

Are you ready for a chance to get your own Cutting Edge Stencil?  There are so many great styles to choose from I bet you will have a hard time deciding, just like I did.   Check out the Athena Allover!  Gorgeous right?

Or perhaps you want something less geometric?  How about the beautiful Nadya Stencil?   This isn’t your grandma’s damask!

So are you ready to get your stencil on?  Well one of you will be soon, thanks to Cutting Edge Stencils and little ol’ me!

  1. I love the trellis allover stencil most but would definately have to get their clip on level too. Love your bedroom!

  2. Great family pics Ange! If you are still looking for cute, comfy and affordable shoes for summer. I saw some cute Aerosoles sandals at Herberger’s that are on sale for $29 this week…I thought of you!

  3. I was just looking at stencils today at….Hobby Lobby…..knowing I would have to go online to find what I was searching for, however it was inspiring. And now I read your blog!!! How cool is that! Shall visit their site and go stencil shopping. I’m much better with paint than wallpaper, so who needs it right? Also doing a floor rug…..I’m so happy now!
