ORC week 7 Boho French Country meets hunting lodge Living Room

Welcome to the final week of the ORC!  It’s the best week as everyone shows off all their hard work.  I have had to restrain myself from showing you this room because I wanted it to be a fun reveal day.  So here it is, the boho, french country meets hunting lodge living room! (With a little touch of Narnia for good measure.)

And just a quick reminder of where we started, the room wasn’t bad, it was just bland. A giant box with no style. We added some french doors, painted the walls and trim over the past 6 years but that was it. It was really lacking some architectural personality.  I think we achieved it with this room!  There are only a few pics of this room in various states because I was never happy with it.  We had to use a hanging light for in here which I always made sure to crop out the cord on the ceiling in my photos.

 

Installing new carpeting, beams on the ceilings with a new light fixture, adding some shiplap and more lighting really helped this space evolve.

 

My ode to Minnesota felt fitting on the sofa!

And as always, one thing leads to another so the entryway got a little updating as well.  I painted the walls and the front door and found a rug that works for both the entryway and the front living room.
