Well, I don’t have a lot to update on this week.   We did manage to finish staining the deck last Friday.  My man took the afternoon off from work as we had a small window in which to stain before it rained, again and again, oh and then again.  Ruby’s pretty excited to be able to use the deck again.

Last Wednesday we did manage to get a steal of a deal on a propane fire table at Target that we had been eyeing up.  It was on sale and then cartwheel had an extra 20% off Threshold outdoor patio stuff last week so we grabbed the fire table and an umbrella for the patio table.  This is the only pic I have, dog butt, dirty socks on a chair and the fire table.  I am planning to change out the rock for glass.

Hopefully the weather cooperates so we can get some more work done over the next week!  Here’s a general list of what we hope to accomplish:

Set up the Gazebo

Clean paint/stain off all the 200 (feels like 2 million) spindles

Build something cool by the window/hot tub wiring area

Stain and Install top hand rail boards

Install rope lighting- just ordered this last night

String Lights and/or Lighting for gazebo?

Accessories and decor

Buy tarps for our patio furniture so I don’t have to haul in a pile of cushions and pillows like this:

Seriously, every day it looks like this and there is no where else to put them right now.  I’m thinking next weeks update will be more fun and productive than this one featuring dirty socks, dog butt and a giant pile of cushions.   Until then, make sure you head over to Calling it Home and check out all the   awesome posts from the 20 fabulous designers and the link ups!
