Oh Happy Monday everyone! I have quite a few posts lined up for this week so let’s get this party started today with Elizabeth from The Mustard Ceiling. You might recognize Elizabeth from Roomspiration this past fall. She has also been a guest blogger this past summer here at the Blooming Hydrangea. Elizabeth is a sweet person who has a great eye for design, both in room design and also blog design. She has branched out into the world of blog design and will soon be redesigning my blog when I move to WordPress in February. Elizabeth has some fun projects she is working on now, including an airstream that her and hubby are fixing up, so read on to hear about those and then stop over to her blog and say hello!

How did you chose the name of your blog and does it have any special meaning?

The Mustard Ceiling came from the color of the ceiling in our entryway. I came up with several names, but nothing worked.

One day, as I was “pestered” my husband with names, I looked up in our entry and saw the warm, mustard colored ceiling, it was perfect. For more detail on the story, click here.

How long have you been blogging?

I just celebrated my one-year bloggiversary on January 8th. When I started The Mustard Ceiling I had no idea what I was doing. I was looking for an outlet to share my love of interior design and DIY’s.

The past year has been an amazing experience and I am so happy I posted that first post last January. Blogging has opened my eyes to so many new ideas, and a new perspective on interior design.

Where do you find inspiration when working on a room or project?

Pinterest of course :), design magazines, and design and DIY blogs. Inspiration can come from anywhere, but most of my inspiration now comes from the internet.

Do you have any New Years Resolutions?

I am really excited about 2012, I think it is going to be a great year. One of my New Year’s Resolution’s is to learn photography. My husband bought me a new camera for Christmas. I have been “playing” around with it, but have signed up to take a photography class (starting this week) so I can get it off automatic mode.

My other resolution’s this year are to continue growing my blog and blog design business and to get our house ready to sell (I think we will be moving this year).

Do you have one room or house goal you are for sure doing in 2012?

This year, my husband and I are working towards getting our house ready to put on the market. It is time to focus on completing all of the little projects that aren’t necessarily “fun.”

However, one room we will be working on is the kitchen, which I am really excited about.

Share your favorite room or project that you’ve completed recently?

My favorite room that I have completed recently….that is a tough one. I really love our Cloffice, it has become the space where I spend the most time.

However, I also am really happy with how our laundry room renovation turned out.

I had so much fun stopping by to share a few tidbits from The Mustard Ceiling today. Thank you Ange for having me!

Thank you Elizabeth for being here and you know how I love your cloffice!   I’ll be back to share what I’ve been working on this weekend and if you are on fb, you might have caught a glimpse of one of the rooms.

Elizabeth's house is beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Ange. The laundry room's stenciled wall still knocks me over with it's awesomeness!
